Return & Refund Policy

At Hippie Chai, we stand behind the quality of our instant beverages and want you to love every cup! Because our products are consumable food items, we have specific guidelines regarding returns and exchanges to ensure food safety standards.

Please review our policy below:

  • 100% Flavor Guarantee (First-Time Orders) If you try Hippie Chai for the very first time and it’s not to your taste, we want to make it right!
  • We offer a one-time store credit or exchange on your first single pouch purchase within 14 days of delivery.
  • Simply reach out to us at connect@hippiechai.com with your order number and feedback, and we’ll help you swap it for another blend or issue store credit.

Returns & Unopened Products

Due to food safety regulations, we cannot accept returns on opened food or beverage products.

For unopened, sealed pouches:

  • You may request a return within 14 days of receiving your order.
  • To be eligible, items must be unopened, unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error.
  • Once we receive and inspect your unopened item, we will issue a refund to your original payment method (minus original shipping costs).

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders:

  • We package every order with care in San Francisco, but if something goes wrong during transit, we’ve got you covered!
  • If your order arrives damaged, defective, or with missing items: Contact us within 5 days of delivery at connect@hippiechai.com. Include your order number and clear photos of the damaged pouch or shipping package.
  • We will ship out a free replacement or issue a full refund to your original payment method.

Non-Returnable Items:

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Opened or partially used chai/matcha pouches.
  • Gift cards.
  • Sale or clearance items.

 Event / Pop-Up Market purchases (all in-person sales at markets are final, though we are happy to address quality concerns via email).

Refund Processing Times:

Once your return or refund is approved, please allow 3 to 7 business days for the credit to reflect on your original payment statement, depending on your bank or credit card provider.
